How to use different edges of the gua sha?

The smooth edge of the Gua Sha plate allows for smooth and precise drainage movements and a classic massage with the plate.

The wavy part of the tool is great for fighting cellulite, relaxing muscles and shaping the body.

The U-shaped bend on the gua sha is ideal as a neck and shoulder massager, where muscle tension most often occurs.

How to massage individual parts of the body?

Neck and neck – the gua sha should be gently and evenly moved along the length of the neck, starting at the hairline and working down towards the shoulders. It is best to perform the entire massage of the upper body parts using a part of the plate that resembles the letter "u", while performing vertical, straight movements all the time. Try not to lift the plate from the skin when making strokes for best results.

Hands – perform movements along the muscles of the forearms and arms. Your movements should be smooth, creating gentle pressure on the skin. Make movements towards the heart using the u-shaped edge of the plate.

Abdomen - when starting an abdominal massage with a gua sha, we should apply light pressure to the skin, preferably with the smooth edge of the plate. Our movements on the stomach should be circular, clockwise, starting as low as possible and slowly moving upwards. After a while of making circular movements on your stomach, take a moment to massage your stomach with the plate in vertical downward movements.

Buttocks - circular, even movements, starting from the lower part of the buttock and working upwards. The wavy plate will work great here, as it additionally supports the fight against cellulite.

Legs - here we start the massage from the feet, constantly performing short, even movements along the legs. More emphasis can be placed on the thighs and calf muscles. In places affected by cellulite, it is good to use the wavy edge of the plate to reduce it, relax muscles and firm the skin.
